PREVENTIVE MEASURES FOR OBESITY:


       Following a healthy lifestyle can help you prevent overweight and obesity.

  • You should have a healthy diet plan and be physically active.
  •  Make personal and Family time active. Activities that everyone will enjoy.
  • For example, go for a brisk walk or work out together .
  • Watch the portion sizes in fast food .
  • Children's portion sizes should be smaller than those for adults.
  • Keep track of your weight, body mass index, and waist circumference.
  •  Also, keep track of your children's growth. 
  • Reduce screen time. Limit the use of TVs, computers, DVDs, and video games because they limit time for physical activity.
  • Follow a healthy eating plan. Make healthy food choices.
  • Encourage family members to drink water and low-fat or non-fat milk instead of fruit juices. 
  • Avoid carbonated soft drinks or sports drinks, all of which are loaded with calories and sugar.
  • Do YOGA or MEDITATION  on alternative days.
  • Those who are obese must go for gym workouts or aerobics regularly.
